Persimmon
By Rashida Coleman Hale
Meet Bun E. (full name Bunjamin Hopkins Ears) and his best friend Simmy! Bun E carries a tiny sketchbook everywhere. Sometimes a bunny has to draw something, you know? He has never met a quilt he didn’t love. They’re necessary for snuggles with Simmy! He hates to get his ears wet, and he likes to bake but he’s not very good, yet. Simmy doesn’t know she’s a fruit. Who’s going to tell her? She loves to color outside the lines. Persimmons are nature’s rebels of course. Her favorite season is fall. She likes to do yoga but sometimes gets stuck in downward dog!
